FAQ

FAQ about Assisted Living at The Bartlett

Where is your corporate office?

The Bartlett has been El Paso owned and family operated for over 18 years. The Pendergras family has owned and operated Texas Geriatric Health Centers for more than 50 years.

What type of license do you have for long term care?

The Bartlett is licensed by the state of Texas as a B Assisted Living Facility which allows us to accommodate individuals’ changing needs and minimize the need to relocate as residents require additional assistance. According to Bartlett’s license a RESIDENT MAY:

  • Require staff assistance to evacuate
  • Be incapable of following directions under emergency conditions
  • Require assistance during nighttime sleeping hours
  • Require assistance in transferring to and from a wheelchair but not permanently bedfast.

What happens when my loved one has a change of condition?

Here at The Bartlett we believe in a resident’s right to age in place. This means you should be able to live here and stay here as long as you are safe and appropriate for community living. Over the years many of our residents have received Hospice care.

What is your menu like?

Our Chefs prepare all meals in our own kitchen. We offer a home style menu that is dietician approved with options for special needs diets. See our Sample Menu.

What is your activities program?

FAQ 2

At The Bartlett we have a fully staffed Activities Department to help with group, one-on-one and resident driven activities 7 days a week. Families are always welcome to join us for social hour or any of the fun and stimulating daily events. See our monthly activities on the home page.

Who will be managing my loved one’s medications?

Our licensed Administrator, a certified pharmacy tech, oversees all medication administration and is supported by our Nurse and Medication Aids 24 hours a day.

What is the level of your professional medical staff?

The Bartlett residents are admitted by their personal physician. Our LVN and Resident Assistants follow their doctor’s orders for medical care.

How can families get involved?

In addition to participating in your loved one’s plan of care, families are encouraged to use our Private Dining Room, attend activities, and log onto our free Wi-Fi to Skype out of town friends and family.

Where are you located?

It’s easy to find us. The Bartlett is located in west El Paso. From N. Mesa turn on Bartlett at Chili’s. We’re next door to the YWCA (behind Texas Roadhouse). Find our location on the map here.
